Now, you can configure security end to end. Your message security is assured by full message encryption. Here is what we do to ensure that:

• All messages are always encrypted with a private key encryption algorithm, while they are in the queue.
• Messages are also encrypted, while they are waiting to be read by the users in their personal mailboxes.
• You may configure to encrypt all messages in transit using the standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer)/TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol (we support all flavors of this protocol).
• You may configure all your SMTP gateways to use SSL/TLS encryption as well.
• You may pick up your messages over a secure SSL/TLS connection using POP3 protocol. Again, all flavors are supported.

We have changed queue management and delivery strategy significantly. Now all messages never stay in the queue any longer than it is absolutely necessary to deliver a message or get a message rejected. The algorithm takes into consideration new developments in the anti spamming technology such as greylisting and multiple server load balancing to see if the message can be delivered.

We have analyzed many message delivery patterns. It is very apparent, that most of the messages are sent to very few email providers. Giants like Yahoo, Gmail, MSN and AOL are taking almost 90% of all emails on the Internet. When each message was sent previously, we sent additional request, to find out the address of these domains.

This was a problem, since each request like that takes time and additional network traffic and is completely redundant, since most of the providers very rarely change their address on the Internet.

We are now caching all such Domain Name resolution requests and each new message is sent much faster and our clients save a lot of network traffic, thus allowing them to send more email. This feature is also very smart and configurable. Addresses are not kept in cache forever, but instead cleared periodically.

If your server ever becomes overloaded, you can configure it to slow down incoming messages, so that the queue can be emptied proportionally as fast as the messages are coming into it. This feature is ideal when you are running our server on an asymmetric Internet (most home and business DSL and Cable Internets are like that). Your outgoing speed is usually about 10 times faster than the incoming speed. Naturally, your server's queue will become overloaded if you just let it accept messages uncontrollably. In case you enable the throttling, this never happens.
