Sending large database

I am repeatedly receiving the failed pop up when using E-List distributor for Mac. Even though I have reduced the speed to slow and throttled to as low as 1 email per second I can not get passed sending only 11 emails before an error is show. From a sufficiently large database it would take repeated efforts and days to reach them all. I am seeking a solution that will avoid this basic pitfalls.

What is the SMTP server that you are using?
Very often your ISPs place limitations on how many messages you can send per hour, per minute, per day and so on.
The reasonong behind it, is that a regular home user, will not be sending more than 10 emails a minute (using just Outlook, it is not even feasible). It is possible that you are hitting one of such limitations. Can you check if this is the case with your ISP?
