Subscribe/Unsubscribe in POP3

Oct14

Hi there,

At what point does the pop3 happen? Is it each time a message is sent? Automatically? Manually?

I have set up my pop3 and confirmed them in other mail programs to make sure the settings work. I have sent test emails to the pop acct I have setup for this mailing list. The emails contain the word 'unsubscribe' in the subject and {GROUPNAME}=Test (the name of the group is Test) in the body. So far nothing has happened such as a name being disabled or removed. I'm just not sure about what is going on.

Thanks in advance.

Eric

You need to invoke it

You need to specifically go and invoke it whenever you need to pick up all those emails. Since we are talking about regular email, the program doesn't need to be up and running for emails to come into it. After you want to collect them or usually before you send a mailing to a particular group, you would get all the emails from your POP3 mailbox and run through subscribe and unsubscribe.
The group is actually selected when you put your cursor on it.
